HumanVerified.shop is coming soon. The marketplace will launch on 1 October 2026. Until then, this preview is for information only; seller applications, listings, orders, payments, identity checks and Assurance requests are not yet open.

Human verification for a specific interaction

HumanVerified Assurance

A verified human. Only the proof you need.

A reference confirms only that the person behind the stated interaction is the same HumanVerified account holder vetted to the displayed scope. The account holder can remain private or pseudonymous to the counterparty when full identity disclosure is unnecessary.

Coming soon. HumanVerified is not yet issuing live Assurance References through this website.

The deliverable

One reference. One purpose. Visible limits.

An Assurance Reference is designed to show the useful facts without turning someone's identity into a public credential.

What this confirms

  • Identity evidence reviewed to the displayed HumanVerified scope
  • Person matched to the verified account during the original review

Method categories: Identity evidence review; Human-reviewed person-to-account binding.

Legal name, date of birth, address and identity documents are not shown to the counterparty.

What this does not confirm

  • Does not confirm ownership, item condition, payment or meeting safety
  • Does not guarantee character, conduct or future behaviour

How reference concerns will be handled

Bounded assurance

What this confirms

A reference confirms only that the person behind the stated interaction is the same HumanVerified account holder vetted to the displayed scope.

The reference would show the purpose, method category, original review date, latest status check and current status.

Visible limits

What this does not confirm

It does not guarantee character, conduct, safety, competence, solvency, authority, ownership, goods, services or transaction outcomes.

Regulated, safeguarding, employment, licensing and professional checks need their own lawful workflow.

Useful when digital becomes real

Assurance for the moment two parties need to proceed.

Private sale or collection

Confirm that a vetted HumanVerified account holder is behind the arranged meeting without exchanging identity documents directly.

Limit: Does not confirm ownership, item condition, payment or meeting safety.

Interview or workplace visit

Give a candidate, interviewer or hiring representative proportionate identity assurance before a confidential or on-site meeting.

Limit: Does not confirm the job, employer authority, suitability or right to work unless separately checked.

On-site service appointment

Confirm that the expected verified account holder is the person attending a home, workplace or client site.

Limit: Does not confirm skill, licence, insurance, safe conduct or quality of work.

Property viewing or handover

Reduce unnecessary identity exchange before a viewing, inspection, access appointment or key handover.

Limit: Does not confirm title, agency authority, tenancy eligibility or property legitimacy.

Confidential professional meeting

Establish bounded identity assurance before names or sensitive commercial details are fully disclosed.

Limit: Does not confirm professional status, mandate, confidentiality compliance or commercial standing.

Organisation or marketplace request

Give an organisation a consistent human-reviewed assurance step for a defined customer, contractor, visitor or member interaction.

Limit: The organisation remains responsible for sector-specific checks, safety measures and decisions.

Intended service model

How HumanVerified Assurance would work.

This pre-launch preview explains how the service is intended to work. No Assurance References are being issued through this website.

  1. 01

    Start with a verified account

The person already has a HumanVerified account with an identity check completed to a recorded scope.

  2. 02

    Define the interaction

The account holder or counterparty describes the purpose, recipient context and assurance needed.

  3. 03

    Confirm the request

HumanVerified would confirm that the verified account holder controls the specific request using a proportionate operational check.

  4. 04

    Create one reference

A unique reference records the purpose, assurance scope, dates, status and limits for that interaction.

  5. 05

    Share only what is needed

The counterparty sees the assurance facts, not the underlying identity documents or unnecessary personal details.

  6. 06

    Check the status

A future live service would show whether the reference is current, expired, withdrawn or unable to be confirmed.

Selective disclosure

Privacy without blind trust.

The counterparty sees the assurance facts needed for the interaction, not the account holder's underlying identity documents.

HumanVerified would still know the account holder's verified identity. The design is private to the counterparty, not anonymous to HumanVerified.

Every live process would need account-holder awareness, a defined recipient or purpose, proportionate expiry, correction and withdrawal controls, and secure handling outside ordinary email.

For organisations

A human-reviewed assurance step where a generic badge is not enough.

Organisation-requested assurance

Invite a customer, contractor, visitor or member to obtain a purpose-specific reference.

Mutual assurance

A future matched reference could give both parties bounded assurance for the same interaction.

Embedded assurance

Explore a human escalation route for marketplace or workflow cases that need more than automated signals.

Responsible use

Identity assurance is one control, not the whole decision.

Childcare, care work, healthcare, right-to-work, right-to-rent, DBS, formal clearance, regulated professions and age-restricted uses need enhanced or separate checks.

Keep ordinary safety measures in place: verify the transaction, use appropriate meeting arrangements, protect payment channels and follow sector rules.

Questions

What an Assurance Reference means.

Will the other person see my legal identity?

Not by default. The service is designed to disclose the assurance facts needed for the interaction. Any additional identity disclosure would need a clear purpose and an authorised process.

Is this anonymous identity verification?

No. HumanVerified would know the verified account holder. The account holder can remain private or pseudonymous to the counterparty where full identity disclosure is unnecessary.

Does a reference mean the person is safe or trustworthy?

No. Identity assurance reduces one uncertainty. It does not guarantee character, conduct, competence, ownership, payment or the outcome of an interaction.

Can someone get a reference without a verified account?

The intended service starts with an existing verified HumanVerified account. Account creation and identity-document handling are not live through this website.

How long will a reference last?

A live service would use a purpose-appropriate expiry and status check. The full service will publish clear validity and status rules before any references are issued.

Can this replace DBS, right-to-work or professional checks?

No. Regulated, safeguarding, employment, licensing and professional checks require their own lawful and proportionate workflows.
